The NIJ IV ceramic composite bulletproof insert plate is a hard armor ballistic insert plate constructed from alumina ceramic and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). Meeting NIJ Level IV ballistic protection standards, it provides reliable protection against armor-piercing rifle threats including .30 caliber AP rounds — the highest NIJ hard armor protection level available for tactical vest plate carriers.
